Beautiful days are always enjoyable for little children and John Parker is no exception. He has thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors the past couple of days. We spent our weekend landscaping the front of the house, planting trees on the property, playing at Dream Park, and relaxing at a small family picnic in our front yard. He started his Saturday morning outside at 8 o'clock and didn't stop until 4 o'clock-only because I made him come inside and get a bath. However, he did stop for the picnic and a nap. He needed his rest so he could continue to make thousands of steps the remainder of the day!!

The Graduate
Daddy and Mother in front of the
President's Mansion at the
University of Alabama.
The infamous "Denny Chimes"!
Mother was thrilled to have this day arrive!
I wanted to take this moment and celebrate one of
my mother's accomplishments in her life. She graduated with her
doctorate degree in education from the Capstone on December 15, 2007.
Needless to say, after this five-year journey she was glad
to see this day arrive. She has spent her life celebrating
her children and grandchildren, and it is only
her children and grandchildren, and it is only
fitting that we celebrate her. Not only is she
a high-achiever in education, but a terrific mother.
We have been blessed to have a christian, optimistic,
sincere, loving, compassionate, humble, and self-LESS mother
in our lives. She is the kind of mother that I aspire
to be to my children. With great pleasure,
I would like to introduce Dr. Sherry Parker Kelley
-aka "Moma" and "Missy".
(she is known as Missy to her grandchildren).
She is the "Wind Beneath My Wings".
