My Better Half

I've been tagged! Here it goes......
1.What is his name? Jeremy David Hardy

2. Who eats more? I'm more of a three-meals type of person and he tends to snack between meals;so I guess it would be him.

3. Who said, "I love you" first? He did!

4. Who is taller? When I'm not wearing my high heels, he is by 3 inches.

5. Who is more sensitive? ME!!

6. Who does the laundry? I do. But he'll do it without hesitation if I am occupied with the boys or if he feels the need to just to help me out! I don't even have to ask. He just does it! He would even clean the bathrooms, etc. before I found someone to clean the house for me. (He would do the whole bathroom cleaning thing while I was preggo so I wouldn't be exposed to all of the chemicals). Very sweet, I think!

7. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? He does if you are looking at the bed.

8. Who pays the bills? We both work to pay for the bills, but he makes more than I do. He makes sure everything is paid for while I write out those big checks to Guardian Angel.

9. Who cooks more? Equal!!! We grill a great deal! Ever since he bought himself the "Big Green Egg" grill he has taken a lot of pride in cooking the delectable steaks, burgers, shrimp, chicken, ribs, etc. He grills the main course of the meal, and I prepare the side items inside the house. You girls should check out those grills for your men. All the men think it's the best thing since sliced bread! (It does cook the best steaks, hamburgers, etc.)

I was at home in my comfortable lounging clothes studying for finals, and my parents were at church. He had talked to my parents, but they were unaware of the exact date of his proposal.

21. His best features and qualities? He's handsome, loving, caring, hardworker, loves his little boys, hands-on daddy, wonderful husband ....I could go on and on!! He is AWESOME!

2-Day 'Staycation'......

at home all because my sweet, little Sawyer wasn't feeling well on Monday and Tuesday. I kept John Parker home with me as well and we enjoyed a wonderful, playful time together. John Parker has found a new love-puzzles. He will put this particular construction puzzle(that Santa brought him) together countless times. The cutest thing is that he'll automatically look for the "corner pieces" or (mathematically speaking-right angles) before he begins placing the pieces in their correct location. He'll say, "Momma, Where's the corners?", as if he is teaching me how to put a puzzle together. Once he has strategically placed the pieces where they go, he'll repeat what Jeremy and I always say to him which is: "Very good, John Parker!" Then he'll purposefully place a puzzle-piece in the wrong spot just so he can say, "NOOOOO!" and then place it correctly. He likes to self-correct himself!! It is funny to watch him. Maybe I can catch him on video to share with all of you. It is sooo funny and cute! I got a few pictures of him working on his new favorite thing to do in the playroom.

While John Parker was entertaining himself with puzzles, Sawyer occupied his time with much crying. Who can blame him? The little guy didn't feel well at all--which resulted in a not-so-fun day for him. The proof is as follows:

He didn't care for Little Lamb at the moment.

Not in the mood for pictures!

Maybe just one decent pic for my momma.

Enough already! I don't feel good!!!!!!

Let's Rewind

I have neglected my blog for quite some time now, and thought I would take this "free" opportunity-while the boys are snoozing- to catch everyone up on the Hardys. This Christmas will go down in the Hardy Memory book as being another wonderful time spent with family and friends. It was extra-special this year having our newest blessing in our family, Sawyer David, and watching the anticipation in John Parker's eyes as he awaited to open the presents that Santa had left. What melted my heart the most was hearing John Parker's sweet, tender voice sing, "Happy Birthday" to Jesus on Christmas morning. Can't get any better than that, right?

Speaking of sweet moments, we had another one with JP last night. As I was getting out of the shower around 9 o'clock, I heard John Parker and Jeremy giggling and carrying on in the bed. John Parker was supposed to be in his bed and fast asleep at this point, but that wasn't the case. Instead, he and his daddy were having a ball! I got in the bed with the two of them-lights out-and we just spent some quality time talking, singing, laughing, praying (JP prays for anything and everything) and tickling our little man. During this time, my mother phoned me and I was telling her that we were lying in the bed playing with John Parker. She reminded me to enjoy those moments as they will swiftly fly by. My brothers and I would do the same exact thing, even up into our teenage years. We would all pile up in our parents' bed and talk and cut-up until we just tired out completely. Needless to say, we were savoring every moment with him last night. That is one of the best things in life that money cannot buy.

Moving right along, Sawyer gave his momma the best present ever by sleeping through the night when he turned four months old over the Christmas holidays. He also went for his 4 month check-up and he weighed in at 15 pounds and measured 26 3/4 inches. (JP was 26 in. at four). For the past few nights, he has started eating a little Oatmeal cereal and it seems to agree with him thus far--he still relies on me to meet his nutritional needs. He is rolling over from back to front and front to back, very ticklish, precious little laugh and smile, and will stare at John Parker like he's the best thing ever-which he is! Jeremy and I were discussing Friday night how fortunate we were that while Sawyer has been in daycare that he hasn't gotten sick--we ate those words quickly. He started running a low-grade temp, runny nose, watery eyes, and a terrible cough on Sunday which landed us right in Dr E's (JP used to say, Dr. EAT) office this morning. He was clear from ear infections, throat, and RSV. He advised us to give him breathing treatments twice a day for two days and give him a call back on Tuesday with an update on his condition. Therefore, I'll be at home with both my boys tomorrow--which does not bother me one bit!!

As for the year 2009 there are several goals that I have set for myself. First of all, I have started working out with some of my co-workers at AES on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Robert Johnson was gracious enough to come to our school and begin the exercise program with anyone that was wanting to get back in shape. I'm ready to lose these remaing 15 pounds of baby weight before the summer arrives!!! ;) Secondly, I plan to further my education by enrolling in graduate school at Troy in August. I am ready to begin so I can mark that off of my to-do list!! Last but not least, I look forward to spending more quality time with my loved ones and my Savior.

P.S. Happy Anniversary to the Hardy's blogspot. Thanks to Beth, I started this blog in January of last year and have enjoyed connecting with those of you that I haven't seen in forever, and also taking a sneaky-peek at your precious lives! Happy 2009 to all my blogger friends!

Enjoy a few pictures from over the holidays!

A Few Pictures

I don't have time to post "words" right now so I'll leave you with a few pictures taken over the holidays. I'll catch everyone up tonight-hopefully! Enjoy!
