Sawyer's Visitors

We are blessed to have such wonderful family and friends who have expressed their happiness for our family during Sawyer's arrival. My co-workers (4th grade teachers)and Shonna Reeves were so gracious to bring us some "yummy" food during this FUN time. It makes our transition from a family of three to four so much easier not having to worry about cooking!! We haven't had to decide what we were going to eat since arriving home. Our family and friends have been spoiling us like we are royalties. Jeremy and I could get use to this on a daily basis- Couldn't we ALL!! All of the fourth grade teachers came except for Tammy McKinney. She wasn't able to make it this particular day, but her phone call was really appreciated. Jamey and Shonna Reeves brought food last night and we really enjoyed their visit. She's a great COOK!! I'll be obliged to return the favor for Shonna one day when God blesses them with another child. :) Thanks again for everything you've done for us!! We love you ALL!

We're Home!!!

I just wanted to let all of you know that we made it home safe and sound!! Jeremy and I were not only anxious to get back to "our home", but more importantly we couldn't wait to see John Parker. Three nights away from him is toooooo long! One of the first things he said to us was, "Can I hold baby"? So far, John Parker is adjusting well with having a baby brother in the house. Of course, I have more pictures to display on the blog, but I will wait until tomorrow since I am starting to get really sleepy! I need to rest before Sawyer decides that it is feeding time.

Sawyer David Hardy

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!! We welcomed our baby boy, Sawyer David Hardy, into the world on Monday, August 18th, at 10:57 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces and measured 21 inches long. We are all doing great and anticipate coming home Wednesday afternoon. I had a slide show prepared with pictures of Sawyer and his visitors, but for some reason it wouldn't load up to the blog page!! Hopefully, we'll be able to post the slide show and more pictures tomorrow!! Thanks to all of you for your prayers, phone calls, and visits during this exciting time in our lives!!

Here's the Scoop!

It seemed like yesterday that I was holding my little man, John Parker, in my arms for the first time! Another precious angel is on his way.............

Sorry that I was unable to post about my doctor's visit yesterday afternoon. We didn't arrive back from Dothan until 10:30. Besides going to the doc, we had to go by Our New Baby(for a new car seat/stroller) and Best Buy(for a new laptop). I have been using Jeremy's laptop from work to upload my blog because we ended up trashing our other computer. There wasn't any hope for it! So, Best Buy was having a sell on one of the Dell laptops so we figured we should go ahead and make the purchase. I am sure Jeremy is happy that he doesn't have to bring home his computer for me to do all of the little acitivites that I like to do.....the blog, photoshop element, school work, etc.. His computer is probably breathing a sigh of relief tonight once he uploaded all the of 3,000 photos onto the new computer and cleared it from his computer. (I literally have that many of JP). I know....I am a bit crazy with my camera!! And just to think that Sawyer will be here soon to double the amount of photos that I take. I know I am rambling.....back to the Dr.'s visit. We will be arriving at Flowers Hospital on Sunday, August 17th at six o'clock. They are going to give me cervidil Sunday night to help progress things, and start the pitocin early Monday morning. Lord Willing, Sawyer David will arrive around mid-day or late afternoon. Unless things change, we are looking at becoming a family of four on Monday, August 18th. (The day after my parents' anniversary!) The reason for the induction is due to the fact that we are an hour and 1/2 away from the hospital. Plus, my labor with John Parker happened pretty quickly considering it was my first child. So, we will be following the doctor's suggestions and anticipate our little guy on Monday!! We are excited!! It will also help prepare us for what to do with John Parker. There is NO WAY that he can stay at the hospital for hours waiting on his little brother. Therefore, he will arrive with my in-laws as soon as we tell them when to make it over to Dothan. Hopefully, they will arrive just in time for Sawyer's birth. If not, it is okay. John Parker will see his little brother soon enough! Please pray for a safe travel, smooth delivery, John Parker, and for our new little man!!! We will be taking the laptop to the hospital where they have wireless internet. I'll put Jeremy in charge of uploading the images of Sawyer ASAP!!!

JPH'S and SDH'S rooms

Now that John Parker has taken up residence in a new room, Sawyer will get to have his brother's old nursery. There are still things that I would like to put on the walls for both of the boys' rooms, specifically their initials. As you can see, I have yet to put window treatments in their rooms. My aunt Esther Davis and cousin Tina McClain came a couple of weeks ago to measure the windows for roman shades in SDH's room and panels for JPH. Also, I haven't taken down the JPH letters out of the nursery yet. I need to make a run to Michael's this week to find Sawyer's letters. Wal-Mart didn't have ANY!! Plus, mother is going to paint an elephant on a big canvas to go above John Parker's bed. So.....there are still little things that I want done, but most importantly John Parker is in his new room and now we need Sawyer to occupy his new domain.
***I go to the doctor on Wednesday, August 13th at 4:00. It would be nice if he just admitted me in the hospital that day!! HA!! We'll see!!!

A Boy's World & Baby Shower

John Parker checking out the tire pressure.

My sweet "sisters", Sarah and Micalyn, gave me a baby shower!!!

Mother and me at the shower!!

Yummy CAKE from Beth's Grandmother Dean!

We had a wonderful and eventful weekend filled with outside play and a baby shower for Sawyer David. First of all, for those that haven't heard we have once again changed the name. Jeremy's middle name is David and we decided to include that in Sawyer's name. Jack will have to wait for the 3rd boy-if there is one! :) I have already received monogrammed items with Sawyer's initials so there is NO changing our mind now!!! We have completed John Parker's new "BIG BOY" Safari room and he has adjusted remarkably well. It was probably harder on me and Jeremy than John Parker. I thought that it would be a challenge trying to keep him in the bed without him getting up during the night., but oh boy, was I wrong!!! It has been a week now and he is sleeping in his new room, in his new bed, without any hesitation, and lovin' it!!!! It is so sweet and sad at the same time to see his little body in a full size bed. It seemed like yesterday that I was putting his 7 lb. 12 oz. and 22 inch long body in a baby bed. Now I have a grown little boy on my hands and expecting another little baby boy in 17 days!!!! I haven't taken any pictures of John Parker's new room, but as soon as I do I will post it so you can all see. Jeremy and I have all our bags packed and we are waiting ever so patiently for his arrival. As for school, we started our in-service today and the students will be here on Monday, August 11th. My plans are to start the school year and leave when it is time for Sawyer's entrance into the world. It worked out perfectly with John Parker and I am hoping that Sawyer follows in his brother's footsteps!! HAHAHA!!! We shall see! Just keep us in your prayers and especially John Parker as he will no longer be the only baby boy in the house!!! Pray that this too will be an easy transition for him!!!
