Surprisingly, I do not have a lot of pictures to share with all of you from our trip to Orange Beach. Above are just a few of the boys and their cousins, Jordan and Hailey Hardy. {Yes, I took my camera but the majority of the time it stayed inside the room. It was actually kind of nice for a change. As most of you know, I'm what you would call a photo"holic" when it comes to taking pictures of my babies. ;)
We arrived at The Wharf with the rest of the Hardy family on Thursday and returned home late Sunday evening. We enjoyed our time with one another, swimming at the Oasis, and we(Jason, Rhonda, Jeremy, and I) attended the Montgomery Gentry/Little Big Town concert the night of the 4th at the Amphitheater on the grounds of The Wharf because the tickets were given to us when we checked-in on Thursday. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to see Little Big Town perform but we could hear them loud and clear from our room. While I'm mentioning the concert, I must tell all of you about the "One in Every Crowd" incident. If any of you listen to Country Music, you've probably heard Montgomery Gentry's popular song, "There's One in Every Crowd". Well, if you've listened to the lyrics you'll know that the are talking about someone who likes to make a big scene at all of the social gatherings. Anyways.......we were seating comfortably in our seats during this song when all of a sudden a young man(in his 20's) was running across the stage shirt-less(the whole time I'm thinking this was part of the act) and all of a sudden he spread his arms out like a bird, dove off the stage towards the crowd, and what do you think happened next???? Let me put it this way; they parted like the Red Sea and he landed smack down on the chairs/cement ground. Montgomery Gentry motioned for the sound crew to 'cut-it-off' and they made sure that he was okay. He lay there for quite a while and before we knew it we saw a stretcher headed to the vicinity of the fall. The EMS lifted him up and low and behold he was waving his hand in the air as if he was a football player that had gotten hurt on a spectacular play. Of course, I was glad that he was alive and moving his limbs but his inebriation caused this, I'm sure. Not long after, the concert ended and we headed back to our rooms and saw 'the one' strapped down on the stretcher with a bandage over his left eye and cuts/blood all over his body. Maybe the song should be titled, "There's an Idiot in Every Crowd". I know that probably is not nice of me to say, but for goodness sakes.........
We ended the "drama" filled night at the concert with the most phenomenal fireworks display that I've ever seen during the 4th. There were people all over the streets, in their boats on the river behind The Wharf, on the balconies of all 12 floors watching and remembering how proud we are to be an American. Hope all of you had a great 4th with friends and family. We'll be headed to the beach Friday with the Kelley Family and I'll try to take more pictures this time. :)

I agree with you about the song LOL. Some people just can't handle going out in public. Sounds like a fun time.
That is about ridiculous!!! I am sure there is more than one idiot in every crowd and that is what is so scary! Glad you were able to enjoy the 4th and take a break from the camera. We went tubing down cold water river for the 4th and I couldn't see taking my camera. Good thing I didn't because it took all I could do to navigate myself and not get stuck. I ended up getting tired towards the end of the 4 hour trip and relying on Jason a bunch!!!
Well, it sounds like a great trip aside from the "incident". I've often thought about just enjoying a trip as oppposed to taking pictures of everything:)
Like the changes on the blog!

glad ya'll had a good time! I agree...there usually IS an idiot in every crowd! LOL Love the new layout on your blog.
